I recently purchased one after a six-year hiatus and am *really* rusty. Any help would be appreciated; I've got sheet music and books galore, but it doesn't help when you can't remember your basics! :)
Anyway - just need someone to get my brain going again then it will be all good. Feel free to recommend a private instructor or even just a friend in a school/university band.
email pantherqu33n at yahoo.com or drop an AIM to p9q9 for details, I'm local in San Diego for those who wondered.

Re: clarinet freaks wanted
Mon, March 13, 2006 - 6:22 PMHi, I also just started playing clarinet again, after a 30 yr long break (I was ten).
Yikes! I can still play, but forgot how to read the music, notes etc. I bought a beautiful old Paris Selmer from ebay, from SanDiego!! I'm in Florida...
Good luck with your teacher..
have fun!
